Technical Account Consultant – Latent Defects.

Do you like to lead and deliver market leading risk management solutions, in a variety of different industries and in a way that challenges the norms of insurer led Risk Engineering?

Can you deliver new initiatives, working with internal and external stakeholders to support and develop the Latent Defects proposition?

Can you effectively engage with Underwriters on all aspects of risk quality and help them understand a wide range of risks and potential solutions?

The role is home based and requires a high ability to manage your own diary and prioritise your own workflow. You will be required to be on site regularly and to attend the London office as necessary.

A bit about the job:

The Technical Account Consultant will play a key role in helping to further develop our proposition, support Underwriters, whilst working with select key clients and colleagues to deliver bespoke risk engineering solutions.

Working closely with the Latent Defect Underwriters, and with other Risk Engineering disciplines, you will help develop and deliver projects to ensure we maintain our position as market leaders in Risk Management. At desk support for Underwriters is critical.

You will also support the proposition, by completing and delivering LDI desk top reviews, site visits and customer engagements across the UK, with an expectation that some overseas work may be possible in the future.

This is a high-profile role which requires the right balance of technical capability, inter-personal and organisational skills.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Chartered Structural Engineer or approaching Chartered status.

  • Experience in Latent Defects auditing/risk engineering desirable but not essential.

  • Ability to rapidly analyse risk information, draw out and communicate the relevant points clearly and concisely in a way that compels others to act.

  • Project management experience and an ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders.

  • Experience in modern methods of construction, engineered timber and emerging risks associated with sustainable construction projects is highly desirable.

What you’ll get for this role:
