A bit about the job:
Our Risk Management Solutions team helps customers protect their businesses and prevent losses before they happen. This role exists to strengthen underwriting decisions and improve customer outcomes across Cargo and Inland Marine risks. You’ll join a specialist team that works closely with underwriters and customers to design practical, tailored risk management programmes. You’ll be accountable for delivering clear technical advice, on‑site surveys, and ongoing support that helps customers trade safely and confidently.
What you’ll do
Support underwriters with practical risk insight and technical guidance across Cargo & Inland Marine accounts
Carry out customer surveys and loss investigations to identify risks and improvement opportunities
Design and deliver bespoke risk management programmes aligned to Aviva standards
Build trusted relationships with customers, colleagues, and senior stakeholders
Share insight that helps shape underwriting and risk strategy
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Experience in supply chain security or loss prevention, gained within insurance, logistics, manufacturing, or a related industry.
Ability to assess risk through surveys or investigations and translate findings into clear, practical improvement actions.
Strong understanding of common Cargo and Inland Marine risks, controls, and loss drivers.
Confidence working with underwriters, customers, and internal stakeholders to provide credible technical advice.
Awareness of recognised industry standards (such as TAPA, GDP or ISO 28000), or the ability to quickly build knowledge in this area.
