We’re looking for an experienced professional to join our Actuarial & Financial Reporting Controls Function (AFRCF) team within Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland (ALPI).
If you have a strong background in audit or financial controls and want to make an impact in a dynamic environment, this could be the role for you.
Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver first-line assurance activities for ALPI, covering local and Group finance and actuarial reporting processes.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and control owners to maintain a robust control environment.
Support governance activities, including preparing papers for local and Group forums and contributing to Board and Audit Committee reporting.
Work closely with subject matter experts across Risk & Controls, including IT and Actuarial specialists, to deliver key aspects of FRCF.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and data consistency to strengthen controls.
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
Recent experience in audit or financial controls (internal or external).
Qualified Accountant or Actuary.
Knowledge of life insurance under IFRS and Solvency II (desirable).
Strong risk and controls experience, including SOX and internal risk management.
Excellent communication skills – able to simplify complex issues and influence at all levels.
