Actuarial Analyst - BPA Reinsurance Salary of up to £55,000

We’re looking for a proactive and analytical individual who enjoys challenging work, has a flair for analysis, and thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You’ll be part of a team that supports an annual c.£7bn of reinsurance transactions, helping to manage risk and deliver value across Aviva’s Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) business.

A bit about the job:

You’ll join the Reinsurance Structuring team, supporting the execution of longevity and funded reinsurance arrangements. These transactions are complex, involving collaboration with technical experts across Finance, Risk, Legal, and external reinsurers. Your role will focus on analysing credit exposures, supporting governance processes, and helping to deliver reinsurance solutions that protect Aviva.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Strong Excel skills, including use of complex formulas

• Analytical and numerical mindset

• Understanding of the risks faced by a UK Life Insurer

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ideally, you’ll be a part-qualified actuary or qualified by experience with experience in UK pensions or annuity insurance

• Salary up to £55,000 depending on skills, experience, and qualifications

• Bonus opportunity 8% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
