App Marketing Lead
App Marketing Lead – Salary circa £85,000
Contract type: Fixed term (12-months)
Are you ready to lead a high-impact marketing strategy?
We’re looking for an experienced marketing leader to take ownership of the MyAviva app strategy and deliver measurable growth. This is a senior role with significant influence, shaping how we engage millions of customers through one of our most critical digital channels.
A bit about the job:
As the App Marketing Lead, you will set the strategic direction for app marketing, driving acquisition, onboarding, engagement and retention. You’ll lead a high-performing team of three (with the view to grow to six), collaborate with senior stakeholders across Product, Tech and Data, and ensure our marketing approach is insight-led and performance-driven. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on customer experience and business outcomes, while championing innovation and best practice in digital marketing. This is a unique opportunity to shape a successful app marketing programme, including completing the onboarding of a Mobile Measurement Platform (MMP) to enable omni-channel tracking and attribution.
You’ll define and deliver integrated marketing plans across email, push notifications, paid digital, SEO and ASO, ensuring all campaigns are optimised for measurable results. You’ll own key performance metrics such as downloads, active users, engagement rates and conversion to digital sales, using first- and third-party data to inform targeting, segmentation and personalisation strategies.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Proven experience leading app marketing programmes within regulated environments (ideally financial services), covering in-app content, UX, and comms to drive commercial outcomes
Extensive expertise in customer lifecycle marketing, digital and paid media channels to boost app adoption and usage
Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams and influencing Senior Business Leaders, Digital Product, and Tech stakeholders
Data-driven approach, leveraging analytics to inform strategy and optimise performance across marketing initiatives
Proficient in mobile analytics platforms, CRM tools, and knowledgeable in ASO and SEO best practices
