CASS Analyst – 6-month Fixed Term Contract

A bit about the job:
You will be part of a team of around 30 within CASS & Middle Office, supporting the maintenance and monitoring of processes that underpin the oversight of daily cash and custody asset movements. The role involves analysing and overseeing investment operations activities to help ensure client money and assets are appropriately protected and managed in line with regulatory requirements.
Reporting to a CASS Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the oversight of daily cash and custody asset movements, helping to ensure client money and assets are protected in line with regulatory requirements. You will perform and review CASS reconciliations, funding checks, and associated controls, while overseeing operational processes delivered by internal teams and outsourced suppliers.
You will investigate breaks, anomalies, and exceptions, escalating issues where appropriate, and support breach management activities, including root cause analysis and responses to audit queries. Through your work, you will help ensure ongoing compliance with CASS rules, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, and internal governance standards, contributing to a strong and well‑controlled client asset environment.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience within Financial Services (investment operations, platforms, reconciliations, or accounting background beneficial)
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
- An analytical, questioning mindset – comfortable challenging and probing data and processes
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Understanding of risk, controls, and regulatory requirements (CASS knowledge desirable but not essential)

- Salary circa £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
