Change Delivery Product Owner – Salary circa £50,000

This is a fantastic opportunity for a change professional to support the prioritisation and delivery of change activity within the Protection Propositions team. This will involve efficiently managing change through the project lifecycle and collaborating with multiple teams within Aviva and external 3rd parties to enhance Aviva’s Protection proposition.

A bit about the job:

The position holder is responsible for optimising the use of change methodology and best practice. You will work alongside Aviva’s IT and change teams to provide business priorities and support our platform and systems teams to manage day to day trading. The role also involves looking to the future, considering how change practice might evolve and the skills that will be required from team members.

You will support senior management on the new propositions implementation from the story identification to the delivery to maximising post launch outcomes (leveraging all necessary teams internally including innovation, marketing, product, IT and SME expertise).

You will ensure change is conducted within Aviva's risk tolerance and delivery framework, supporting IT and Change colleagues to demand the highest standards from change partners and suppliers. The role will also require forward thinking on the future of change strategy, including the roles and skills required and how future technologies may change the systems and process operated today.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • A professional Product Owner, and/or previous experience of change management within the Financial Services industry.
  • Experience of the UK protection market is desirable.
  • Experience of tools and methods such as JIRA, Confluence, Kanban and SCRUM, ideally matched with AGILE, and change management qualifications.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence up to senior management levels. Able to harness strong relationships across departments, working with a broad range of colleagues every day.
  • Commercially capable, you will be experienced owning a change backlog, managing and making priority calls to maximise returns on investment (ROI).
