Claims Procurement Lead

Location: Leeds, Norwich, Glasgow, Perth, York or Manchester based (50% hybrid working)

Salary: circa £76,000

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a strategic and commercially focused motor or property insurance claims procurement specialist to join the UKGI Claims Supply Chain team, with responsibility for motor / property claims procurement.

A bit about the job:

The primary objective of this position is to optimise value across Aviva’s motor / property claims supply chain through comprehensive end-to-end commercial management. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and operational teams to design forward-thinking service solutions, thereby delivering enhanced value for Aviva and its customers.

Specialising in the motor or property insurance claims category, you will draw upon advanced commercial, contractual, regulatory, risk management, and category management skills, tools, and methodologies to drive value for money by identifying and executing new initiatives, demonstrating subject matter expertise, and staying ahead of emerging technologies and market trends. Furthermore, you will actively mitigate and manage risk, while supporting the achievement of our Net Zero objectives.

The position requires a thorough understanding of market dynamics coupled with deep business insight, enabling the development and execution of sourcing and supply chain strategies in close partnership with colleagues to deliver robust contractual frameworks. Appropriate utilisation of internal processes, systems, controls, and governance structures will be essential.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • In-depth expertise in motor or property claims procurement / supply chain and substantial knowledge of change management

  • Demonstrated commercial and stakeholder management capabilities, with a strong record of building effective internal business and supplier relationships

  • Proven leadership experience optimising strategy and delivering Commercial, SRM, or Category Management within a complex, fast-paced environment

  • Contracting experience, including management of sourcing processes and the development and negotiation of agreements in alignment with governance requirements, with the ability to influence key decisions as needed

  • MCIPS qualification or a business degree (or equivalent) is preferred
