Commercial Lines Performance Management Analyst

Contract type: Fixed-term 24 month

We’re looking for a Commercial Lines Performance Lead to shape how we manage performance across our Commercial Lines portfolios. You’ll bring technical strength, analytical clarity and a consistent approach to profitability analysis and broker‑level insight. Working closely with profit and loss owners, portfolio PRC owners, and specialist teams, you’ll help create a joined‑up view of performance. You’ll also modernise tools, data flows and reporting to support smarter decisions. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead quarterly valuation inputs and maintain profitability tools, including the migration from Excel to Snowflake UI to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Deliver broker‑level MI, identifying key performance drivers and integrating insights into relevant committees and decision‑making forums.
  • Partner with Trading and Finance to enhance planning models and business plans, ensuring strong modelling and monitoring across segments.
  • Oversee data quality, governance and automated processes for MI, ensuring accurate, timely reporting and aligned performance messaging.
  • Continuously evolve BAU processes to reflect market changes, monitoring new business and renewal trends and providing timely insights to leadership.

Skills & Experience
  • Experience in performance management within general insurance (actuarial, reinsurance analytics or portfolio management).
  • Strong technical skills including Excel, SQL, Python (or similar) and dashboard/UI development (e.g., Snowflake, Streamlit).
  • Coding experience with proven ability to build analytical tools and automate reporting.
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights for varied audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience aligning messaging across functions.
  • Experience in data governance, data quality frameworks or data architecture.
