Cyber Security Specialist – Salary c£45,000 (National), c£55,000 (London)

A bit about the job

The Third-Party Security team within CISO is responsible for ensuring Aviva’s critical suppliers meet our security expectations. We manage security deliveries and risk, provide expert guidance, and act as an escalation point for supplier security concerns. It’s a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your work directly contributes to Aviva’s resilience and reputation.

This role sits within Aviva’s Chief Information Security Office (CISO), supporting the Third-Party Security team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our most critical technology suppliers meet Aviva’s cybersecurity standards, managing risks and gaps, and driving improvements. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners, acting as a key point of contact for supplier security matters. The role brings real value by protecting Aviva’s data and systems through strong third-party oversight.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

• Strong analytical skills and curiosity, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions

• Technical understanding of cybersecurity principles and technologies

• Experience in supplier management, risk assessment, or governance frameworks (e.g. ISF SGP)

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively

• Confident communicator, able to challenge and influence stakeholders

• Starting salary c£45,000 (National), c£55,000 (London) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
