Data Analyst – Salary £45,000-£50,000

A bit about the job:
The position holder will be part of our Personal Lines Retail Team, focusing on motor insurance – one of our biggest growth areas. Your insights will help shape underwriting, product and pricing decisions, supporting the Performance Lead and wider team. You’ll build and maintain reporting tools to track performance trends and carry out ad-hoc analysis to turn complex data into clear business insights.
You’ll examine the full customer journey – from new business to renewals and cancellations – and provide performance insights to stakeholders. You’ll also track changes in our customer mix and flag emerging risks. As a curious and proactive analyst, you’ll support the team with data requests and reporting, helping us hit key performance targets and uncover new opportunities.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including experience with T-SQL and Excel (Qlik is a bonus)
- Ability to turn data into both proactive and reactive actionable insights from large and complex data sets
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, partnered with good communication skills to translate findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Commercial awareness of the insurance market, ideally motor, would be desirable
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities, understanding potential risks and how they can be mitigated

- Starting salary between £45,000-£50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
