A bit about the job
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to help us build reliable, high‑quality data that our teams can trust. You’ll join our Data & Analytics function — the team that keeps Aviva’s data organised, understood, and ready for action.
The role is responsible for developing high‑quality conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with enterprise standards and support both analytical and operational needs.
Working closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers, you will translate business requirements into well‑structured data designs, source and integrate data from internal and external systems, and ensure consistency with enterprise definitions.
Your work will shape the models, pipelines, and data foundations that power our reporting, analytics, and business decisions. Most of all, you’ll help us make sure our data is clear, consistent, and ready for whatever comes next.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
- Experience working with complex datasets, including profiling, cleansing, and transformation, ideally a proficiency in SQL, data visualisation tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI), Excel, and Python
- Strong skills in building data models for analytical or operational use.
- Ability to analyse data structures and translate requirements into clear, scalable designs.
- Familiarity with automation, AI‑driven analytics, and advanced statistical techniques
- Ability to communicate complex insights simply and clearly to Senior Stakeholders

- Starting salary circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
