Data Science Lead DevOps Engineer – Salary: £65k–£75k (Bristol/Norwich), £80k–£95k (London) 

 

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Lead AIOps Engineer to join our growing Data Science & AI platform team. This role offers technical leadership in building and evolving our AI and Data Science infrastructure, with a strong focus on cloud-native services, CI/CD automation, containerisation, and serverless computing. Experience with AWS and/or Azure is essential. 

 

A bit about the job: 

As Lead AIOps Engineer, you’ll define technical roadmaps, governance, and standards across our platform. You’ll lead a team of engineers, collaborating across technology teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions that support positive customer outcomes and align with business goals. 

 

Skills and experience we’re looking for: 

  • Proven experience deploying and managing AWS cloud services. 

  • Leadership experience in technical or engineering teams. 

  • Expertise in containerisation and serverless computing (e.g., AWS EKS, Lambda). 

  • Strong understanding of DevOps, AIOps, and MLOps principles. 

  • Experience delivering and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and Jenkins.

  • Starting salary between 65k-75k (Bristol/Norwich) £80-95k (London) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
