Finance Risk and Controls Manager – Salary circa £60,000

A bit about the job:
As a Financial Risk and Controls Manager, you’ll take the lead in planning and executing the testing of financial reporting controls. Your expertise will be key in working closely with control owners to identify and remediate deficiencies, helping to build a robust and resilient control environment.
You’ll also play a vital role in supporting our external audit process, ensuring our assurance work meets the highest standards and can be relied upon with confidence. Your insights will help shape key decisions, as you contribute to the production of reports for senior stakeholders, including the Board and Audit Committees. You’ll be at the forefront of transformation—driving initiatives that embrace automation and optimise our processes for the future.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Qualified accountant or actuary (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with recent experience in external audit or financial control within Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting controls, with exposure to IFRS 17 being a distinct advantage.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels and geographies.
- A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for process improvement and control optimisation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

- Salary circa £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
