Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of risk management at IWR? We are seeking a Senior Risk Manager to provide expert oversight and challenge across our UK IWR Finance function.  You’ll act as a trusted advisor, influencing decision-making and helping to shape a positive risk culture across the business.

A bit about the job:

As part of the role, you will attend IWR Finance’s Methodology Assumptions Setting Forum (MASF) to provide second-line support and challenge the assumptions and methodologies proposed by Finance. You will oversee the management of With-Profit funds to help ensure good customer outcomes, and offer expert support on a key, material Finance-led change programme. Additionally, you will deliver written Risk Opinions and conduct risk reviews for Finance activities, while promoting a positive, risk-aware culture and providing insightful reporting to senior stakeholders.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Strong understanding of the UK Life and Pensions market, Solvency II and IFRS regulations.  Experience with With-Profits reporting or management would be an added advantage but not essential.
• The successful candidate will be a qualified Actuary, either by professional qualification or experience.
• A high impact individual, who provides confident and credible challenge to stakeholders, including senior management, within the business
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with an agile, outcome-focused approach.
• Ability to build strong networks and operate effectively in a matrix structure.

• National salary: up to £95,000, London salary: up to £120,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
