Governance and Assurance Specialist
We’re looking for a Governance and Assurance Specialist to help us strengthen how we manage risk across ALPI. This position is open to both Dublin and Galway based candidates. You’ll be part of a small, expert team that supports safe growth, protects customer outcomes, and builds operational resilience. Your work will help teams manage risk confidently and consistently, through training, assurance, and insightful reporting. You’ll play a key role in making sure we stay compliant with Group and regulatory standards, while enabling smarter, safer decision-making.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored ORCM training across ALPI to build stakeholder capability and embed the framework.
- Provide expert support via our help desk, resolving queries and coaching teams to reduce repeat issues.
- Participate in RCSAs, ensuring risk assessments are robust, evidence-based and aligned with Group standards.
- Guide the management of material Issues and Risk Events, tracking resolution and escalating where needed.
- Conduct QA sampling on Risks, Events and Issues, escalating findings and maintaining governance tools.
Skills & Experiences
- Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, including RCSA methodology and control validation.
- Experience in a regulated financial services environment, ideally within risk, compliance or audit.
- Ability to interpret risk data and MI, spot trends and communicate insights clearly.
- Familiarity with risk systems and tools such as iCARE, QLIK and MI dashboards.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
