Governance Risk & Control Specialist
Location: Dublin, Cherrywood
Are you someone who enjoys analysing complex information, spotting potential risks, and helping a business stay resilient and well‑controlled?
This is a great role for someone who is looking to step up into a more specialised risk role. It would particularly suit someone who has worked in a risk, compliance, audit or controls‑focused environment and is keen to deepen their expertise in operational risk management.
A bit about the job:
- You’ll help identify, assess and monitor operational risks across the business, supporting effective control of these risks.
- You’ll contribute to the development and implementation of operational risk policies, procedures, reporting and mitigating strategies.
- You’ll carry out risk assessments, highlight control gaps, and report findings to management to drive continuous improvement.
- You’ll analyse operational risk data to identify trends and emerging issues, escalating more complex matters where required.
- You’ll support wider risk‑related projects and help ensure we consistently deliver good customer outcomes.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience in a risk, audit, compliance, or similar control‑focused role within the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and highlight key insights.
- Ability to communicate clearly and build effective relationships with 1st line teams.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence in identifying issues and recommending improvements.
- A proactive mindset with interest in regulatory developments and risk management practices.
