About the Job:

We are seeking a hands‑on Data Management professional to support the delivery of Enterprise Data Services across the Aviva Group. Working within the Group Chief Data Office, this role focuses on the practical application of data management tools and processes to help markets and functions improve the quality, understanding, and control of their data. There is an initial emphasis on utilising tooling to work on data quality and observability checks, data classification, and metadata management (cataloguing, describing, tagging, applying glossary items and data flows).

Skills and Experience We’re Looking For:

  • Expertise in data management disciplines including data quality, metadata management, data classification, and user access; as well as an understanding of their contribution to business outcomes and value.

  • Practical experience working with data management tools to undertake tasks such as cataloguing metadata, assigning classifications, managing user access, and performing checks and controls to maintain data quality.

  • Experience supporting the adoption of data management practices as part of change or delivery activity, following defined standards, processes, and playbooks.

  • Familiarity with data platforms and cloud environments (e.g. Snowflake, AWS, Azure or GCP) and how data management tooling integrates with them.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, explaining data management tasks and outcomes clearly to those with varying levels of data knowledge.

  • Salary Circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
