Group Data Management Specialist
Salary : Circa £70,000 London - Circa £65,000 National.
Are you someone who loves turning complex data challenges into clear, scalable solutions?
This role is perfect for a data professional who thrives on building trusted relationships, collaborating across business lines, and shaping modern Enterprise Data Management capabilities. If you're passionate about Data Quality, metadata, governance, and enabling organisations to use data more effectively — you’ll feel right at home here.
A bit about the job:
We’re looking for a Data Management Specialist to help drive the design and rollout of new Enterprise Data Services across Aviva Group. As part of the newly formed Group Chief Data Office, you will help shape the direction of Aviva’s Data Management services, standards and best practices.
With an immediate focus on Data Quality, you’ll help create and enhance the processes, systems and services that uplift how we govern, measure and improve data across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to influence a strategic new capability at scale, working with supportive colleagues across multiple business lines.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Strong understanding of data lifecycle management and how data flows across an enterprise.
Hands‑on experience in several Data Management disciplines, such as Data Quality, Metadata Management, User Access, Data Classification, Master & Reference Data, and the links to Data Governance and Privacy.
Practical experience embedding Data Management practices as part of change or transformation programmes.
Experience using or implementing Data Management tools such as Collibra, BigID, Immuta, Informatica, Alation, Ataccama, Precisely, Talend or similar — ideally within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or working with Snowflake.
Ability to inform, influence and manage relationships with stakeholders and peers, including those less familiar with data concepts.
