Head of Change Delivery

Location: Norwich, Eastleigh or York

Salary: Circa: £110k

This is a great job for someone who is excited by leading large‑scale transformation and wants to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Aviva’s technology estate.

Are you someone who thrives in complex, multi‑market environments and enjoys orchestrating people, processes and technology towards a shared outcome?

Do you love bringing structure, clarity and confidence to major change, ensuring colleagues, customers and partners are informed, ready and supported every step of the way?

This role would suit an experienced change leader who has delivered major transformation programmes—particularly those involving cloud migration, application modernisation or multi‑vendor delivery models. It’s ideal for someone ready for a step into an enterprise‑wide leadership role, operating at pace with accountability, influence and a seat at senior decision‑making forums.

A bit about the job:

You’ll lead Aviva’s enterprise‑wide change delivery for a critical, multi‑year programme: exiting the Data Centre and modernising applications into the cloud .

This role exists to ensure the migration lands safely, predictably and with full business readiness—protecting resilience, service continuity and regulatory confidence throughout.

You’ll bring together governance, risk, business adoption, communications and supplier management into a single integrated plan, acting as the “central router” between technology delivery and business change.

Your leadership will directly influence outcomes across Aviva markets, functions and operating models, ensuring stakeholders are aligned, informed and ready for each stage of the journey.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience leading large‑scale, multi‑year transformation programmes (£50m+), ideally involving cloud migration, technology modernisation or complex operating model change.

  • Deep expertise in business readiness, change management, cutover planning and cross‑market adoption.

  • Strong programme governance and risk management capability, with confidence operating at ExCo, Board and regulatory forums.

  • Experience working in multi‑vendor environments and acting as a senior counterpart to strategic suppliers such as cloud providers or system integrators.

  • Ability to translate complex technical and delivery issues into clear, outcome‑focused insight for senior leaders and decision‑makers.

What you’ll get for this role:
