A bit about the job

You’ll lead an audit team focusing across Technology and Operations, helping Aviva manage key risks and deliver strategic change. This role sits within our Technology and Operations Internal Audit team and will have a strong focus on CIO, CISO and COO activities, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business and peer Heads of Internal Audit. You’ll shape and deliver a broad audit portfolio, guide audit teams across markets, and bring fresh thinking to how we work. Your insights will help us make smarter decisions and build a stronger future.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Deep understanding of Technology, Operations and IT Change risk management as a credible ‘Technology and Transformation Risk SME’ through prior experience of leading company-wide audits in large organisations.
  • Extensive senior experience working within the Insurance, Banking and/or wider Financial Services sector.
  • Experience auditing complex run and change technology environments and assessing technology risks including large scale technology programmes, Cyber, Infrastructure and Resilience.
  • Ability to confidently engage with senior stakeholders and influence up to C-suite level.
  • An experienced leader, used to coaching, developing and motivating a busy team with a collaborative mindset and passion for innovation.
