A bit about the job:

Reporting directly to the Tax Technical Shared Services Director, this role leads our Operational Taxes team and contributes to how we manage tax risk across Aviva. It strengthens our operational tax governance, supports regulatory expectations and ensures accurate, timely interactions with overseas authorities.  It works closely with senior leaders, internal partners and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality outcomes. It also shapes our operational tax policies, controls and ways of working.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience in operational taxes, including FATCA and CRS in a financial services environment

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to support and develop teams with the ability to explain complex issues in clear, relatable language.

  • Knowledge of tax technology or involvement in system improvements

  • Experience managing tax risks and improving processes and controls.

  • Comfortable working with senior leaders, regulators and external partners
