Head of Propositions

We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded leader to join our ALPI Senior Leadership Team as Head of Propositions. In this role, you’ll shape and deliver our proposition strategy across Insurance, Wealth, and Retirement. You’ll be responsible for developing and managing our full suite of propositions - ensuring they’re competitive, compliant, and deliver great outcomes for our customers. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across the business to align our proposition strategy with commercial goals and market needs. This is a high-impact role with a real influence across the business and the wider market.  

Duties & Responsibilities  

• Lead the full product lifecycle  
  Take ownership of proposition strategy, design, development, implementation, and governance. You’ll chair key committees and ensure all propositions meet regulatory standards and deliver value to customers.  

• Collaborate across the business  
  Work closely with the Head of Marketing to shape and execute integrated marketing strategies, and with the Head of Pricing to ensure propositions support commercial targets and deliver value for customers.  

• Drive strategic and commercial impact  
  Ensure all proposition activities contribute to our strategic goals, commercial performance, and customer outcomes. You’ll track performance and adjust plans to maximise impact.  

• Build operational excellence  
  Establish and maintain the right operational structures to deliver our proposition strategy efficiently, cost-effectively, and in a well-controlled environment.  

• Represent ALPI in the market  
  Maintain a strong external presence with brokers, consultants, and corporate advisers. You’ll act as a key spokesperson for our propositions and gather insights to inform future development.  

Skills & Experiences  

• Proven leadership in proposition strategy  
  You’ve successfully led proposition development and governance in a regulated environment, with a strong understanding of product lifecycle management.  

• Strong commercial acumen  
  You understand how propositions drive business performance and customer value, and you can translate strategy into measurable outcomes.  

• Collaborative and influential  
  You’re confident working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, aligning diverse perspectives to deliver shared goals.  

• Market-facing and customer-focused  
  You bring deep insight into customer needs and market trends, using this to shape propositions that stand out and deliver fair outcomes.  

• Regulatory and governance expertise  
  You’re experienced in managing compliance and risk in product development, ensuring propositions meet legal and regulatory standards.
