Individual Protection Proposition Lead

This is a high‑impact leadership role within Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland, with accountability for shaping and delivering our Individual Protection propositions across the full product lifecycle. Reporting to the Head of Propositions, you’ll lead the strategy, development and ongoing management of our Individual Protection products — ensuring they remain competitive, compliant and deliver fair outcomes for customers.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across Marketing, Pricing, Distribution and Risk, as well as with brokers and advisers in the market. With strong links to Aviva Group and a clear line of sight to business strategy, this role offers a compelling opportunity to influence growth, customer outcomes and transformation.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver the Individual Protection proposition strategy, including product design, development, implementation, governance and ongoing lifecycle management.
  • Lead and develop the Individual Protection Propositions team, building capability, engagement and a strong customer‑focused culture.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Pricing and Distribution to deliver commercial targets, retention outcomes and effective go‑to‑market plans.
  • Represent Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland in the market, building strong relationships with brokers, advisers and key external partners.
  • Ensure robust risk management, governance and regulatory compliance, embedding fair customer outcomes and strong controls across all activity.

Skills & Experience
  • Deep knowledge of the Individual Protection market in Ireland, including customer needs, competitor propositions and regulatory expectations.
  • Proven experience leading proposition teams or delivering significant Individual Protection product or strategy initiatives.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to translate market insight and customer needs into effective proposition strategies.
  • Confident people leader, able to inspire, develop and lead teams through change while promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with credibility across senior leaders, brokers, regulators and partners.

Fitness and Probity 
This is a Regulated Role and will be subject to enhanced pre-employment screening procedures. There will be an on-going requirement for the role holder to maintain fit and proper status.
