Insurance Risk Hub Lead – Salary C. £100,000 to c. £110,000

Locations: York, Bristol, Norwich, and Eastleigh

You will be a technically strong, commercially minded leader who is passionate about harnessing data, insight, expertise and scale to create sustainable competitive advantage. A bit about the job:

This is a senior leadership role at the heart of the Protection business, accountable for delivering the objectives of the Insurance Risk Hub across both Individual and Group businesses. The role exists to transform how insurance risk is understood and applied, bringing together data, experience analysis and costing into a single, controlled, end‑to‑end capability.

You will lead a high‑impact team at the centre of commercial decision‑making, shaping how data, modelling and experience translate into strategic, commercial and customer outcomes. Working collaboratively across Aviva, you will partner internally with teams including Protection, Data Analytics and Longevity, as well as externally with reinsurers and consultants, to deliver insight that informs pricing, product design, reinsurance and long‑term commercial strategy.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Deep technical expertise in experience analysis and insurance risk modelling, including mortality, morbidity and persistency

• Strong track record of owning or shaping bases, including governance and stakeholder approval

• Experience working across the full journey from data through to insight and decision‑making

• Ability to translate complex technical outputs into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders

• Proven leadership capability, delivering results through teams and influencing a broad range of stakeholders

• Starting salary between c. £100,000 and c. £110,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
