Location: Norwich, Bristol, London, Sheffield, York or Eastleigh
Salary: National: circa £50,000 / London: circa £65,000

A bit about the job:
We’re looking for an IT Controls Testing Manager to help us assess and improve how we manage technical and non-technical risks across our IT infrastructure. You’ll work closely with colleagues in IT Operations, Risk, and our global markets to design and deliver testing procedures that ensure our controls are working effectively. You’ll also help shape our testing methodologies and support junior team members as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.
Collaborate with IT Operations, Risk, and markets to define and agree on control testing procedures that demonstrate both design adequacy and operational effectiveness
Develop and oversee testing plans to ensure robust delivery of control assessments
Conduct control testing activities and support team members in their delivery of testing
Report on testing progress and findings to stakeholders at all levels
Identify and escalate risks and issues, working closely with relevant teams to ensure appropriate action is taken
Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures and outcomes, contributing to the evolution of best practice testing approaches
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Experience in controls testing, operational risk, or quality assurance
Strong understanding of IT systems, security practices, and governance frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001) and Third-Party Risk and Change Management
Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Confident working with stakeholders at all levels
A team player who enjoys mentoring and supporting others

Starting salary National circa £50,000 / London £65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
Bonus opportunity 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
