Junior Finance Controls Analyst
Financial Reporting & Controls Analyst
Location: Dublin
This is a great job for someone who is early in their finance career or recently graduated and looking to broaden their experience across a wide range of financial disciplines. It would suit someone who enjoys problem‑solving, improving processes, working with data, and collaborating across finance teams such as actuarial, tax, investments, FP&A and expenses.
A bit about the job:
- You’ll play a key part in the month‑end close process—preparing journals, reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting packs for the Ireland General Insurance business.
- You’ll support regulatory reporting by helping prepare and submit quarterly returns in line with required guidelines and deadlines.
- You’ll assist with external audit requirements—coordinating documentation, responding to auditor queries, and ensuring timely delivery of audit samples.
- You’ll manage manual payment requests and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our finance processes, risk activities, and control environment.
- You’ll join a small, supportive Financial Reporting & Control team, gaining exposure across the broader finance function and working closely with internal stakeholders.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- A qualification in finance, accounting, business or a related field (such as an accountancy degree, business degree, or being part‑qualified)
- Some practical experience in finance or accounting is desirable (such as an internship, placement, part‑time role, or relevant projects).
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail, with a willingness to learn and develop within financial reporting and controls.
- Comfortable working with data and confident using Excel or similar tools.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
