An exciting opportunity has arisen in our COO (Chief Operating Office) Data Product Owner team for a Lead Data Scientist to help shape the future of the Customer Operations areas, where we are constantly evolving and transforming to create great customer experiences. This role will provide Analytics and Data Science into our operational areas to identify and solve a range of use cases.

Data and how we use it will better serve our customers and help us make smarter business decisions and is a key aspect of our strategy, so if you join us, you’ll be at the heart of it all.

A bit about the job:

The UK IWR COO Data Product team makes it click by helping our stakeholders understand customers better, achieve sustainable growth and inform data driven decisions.

In this role you will use practical knowledge of data analytics and play a key role informing business decisions using data analysis, particularly with areas of the business that are growing.

You will utilise your skills and knowledge of data programming languages to create data science models and provide data insights and take responsibility of maximising the usage of data to drive business decisions.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • A seasoned Data Scientist with a real passion for data, and loves getting into the detail of the tools and techniques used for our data science solutions.
  • A gift for coding using: SQL, R, Python, SAS or Spark.
  • Has a good understanding of machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling.
  • Strong capability to deliver projects and collaborate with our COO teams, with demonstrable experience of bridging the gap between technical and non-technical specialists.
  • Able to provide technical support and mentoring to more junior team members.

  • Starting salary circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
