Get to know the role:  
 
Life Insurance Apprentice: You will work alongside and learn from some of the most skilled professionals in the industry. You will collaborate with people with diverse skills, including actuaries, social media managers, and product owners who sit on our team, who support new product builds and ensure our existing customers get the best solutions tailored to their needs. You’ll also build relationships with other parts of the business. Everything you do will have an impact on Aviva and our customers, so you’ll need to be passionate about delivering the best service and results.  

 

In your first year you will embark on your college course in Insurance Practitionership with ATU while studying towards your insurance exams with the Life Institute Association (LIA). Full development and support will be given with a mentor, supervisor, buddy and a targeted development programme from the Aviva Group Early Careers team.  

At the end of your 3-year apprenticeship you will have gained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Insurance Practice (Apprenticeship), APA and QFA qualifications alongside professional development modules.  
 
You’ll spend 4 days a week working in the role and 1 day working towards your qualifications. This is a brilliant learning environment – a place where everyone is welcome to share ideas, ask questions, and seek out advice.

What we’re looking for : 
 
To join us on this apprenticeship you’ll have to  meet the minimum eligibility requirements as set out by the III and ATU Sligo. You will be required to evidence your eligibility prior to starting the apprenticeship to gain entry to the course and employment with Aviva. You will also need to have:  

  • Confidence in communicating with a genuine customer focus. 

  • A good analytical mind and enjoy using your problem-solving skills. 

  • The desire to build relationships and rapport and feel comfortable engaging with people at all levels of the business and the customer.  

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks such as balancing work and study.

Our Dublin office is in the Cherrywood Business Park, Loughlinstown, Dublin 18.

Step one: You’ll complete a short questionnaire and submit a CV. 

 
Step two: You’ll complete online verbal and numerical reasoning tests. 
 
Step three: You’ll be invited to a virtual assessment centre where you’ll get to show us what you're good at and what you enjoy through a variety of exercises. 
 
If you’re successful, we'll offer you an apprenticeship starting in July 2025.  
 
Please note: At Aviva we offer multiple apprentice pathways, of which, this is one. We ask that you only apply for one pathway - the one that most aligns to your strengths and interests. If you do make more than one application, we will only accept your first.
