Offensive Security Manager – (Red Team)

A bit about the job: 

You’ll lead our internal Red Team – a group of skilled offensive security professionals who simulate real-world threats to test and strengthen Aviva’s cyber defences.  

You’ll design and deliver advanced attack scenarios, collaborate with blue teams and threat intelligence, and provide strategic insights to senior leaders. 

This role is all about staying ahead of emerging threats and helping us build a more resilient future. 

You’ll also have the freedom to shape the team’s direction – from growing capability to evolving our attack emulation services. It’s a chance to make a real impact on how we protect millions of customers. 

Skills and experience we’re looking for: 

  • Several years of hands-on experience in Offensive Security, including red teaming or penetration testing 

  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and building high-performing teams 

  • Deep knowledge of threat emulation frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, and experience with tools such as Cobalt Strike, Metasploit, or BloodHound 

  • Proficient in scripting and automation (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash), and experienced in phishing and social engineering techniques 

  • Certified in CCSAM, OSCP, CRTO, OSEP (or similar), with experience in Threat-Led Penetration Testing aligned to CBEST, STAR-FS, or DORA).  

  • Experience in a regulated or government environment would be an advantage
