Aviva Life & Pensions is seeking an Operational Risk & Control Team Lead to join our Customer Experience team.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of risk champions while helping to strengthen our risk and control environment across the business. You'll play a key role in supporting risk management activities, enhancing governance processes, and ensuring we meet our regulatory obligations, all while helping us deliver excellent outcomes for our customers.

Working closely with stakeholders across Customer Experience and the wider business, you'll provide expert guidance on risk and control matters, support decision-making through meaningful reporting, and help foster a strong risk culture.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of risk champions, helping to strengthen risk awareness and control effectiveness across the Customer Experience function.

  • Act as a key point of contact for risk and control matters, providing guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders across the business.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of the Operational Risk and Control Management (ORCM) framework, reporting key insights through governance forums, steering groups and iCare.

  • Identify, assess and escalate risks, supporting the implementation of appropriate mitigation actions and the effective management of risk events.

  • Coordinate control testing activities and contribute to risk and conduct reporting to support governance and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Experiences:

  • Strong experience in operational risk, controls, governance or compliance within a regulated environment.

  • Good understanding of risk management frameworks, control testing and risk event management, with knowledge of Aviva's Risk Framework being highly desirable.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presenting to senior leadership, including Executive Committee level.

  • Proven ability to analyse complex information, identify key risks and recommend practical solutions.

  • Experience leading, coaching or developing others, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions.

The expected pay range for this role will fall between €55,000 and €60,000 and salary offer

ed will commensurate with candidate's level of skills and experience.
