Pension Technical Consultant
We’re looking for a Pension Technical Consultant to join our Sales & Distribution team and play a key role in shaping and supporting Aviva’s pension propositions in Ireland. You’ll act as a trusted technical expert, helping ensure our solutions remain compliant, competitive and aligned to a constantly evolving regulatory environment.
You’ll work closely with internal teams, brokers and advisers, providing clear, practical guidance on complex pension topics, while supporting proposition development and business readiness for regulatory change.
Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor and assess legislative, regulatory and market developments, identifying impacts across products, operations and distribution.
Provide expert technical pensions guidance to internal stakeholders and broker partners.
Support the development, enhancement and governance of pension propositions to ensure strong customer and commercial outcomes.
Translate complex technical information into clear, accessible communications for a range of audiences.
Collaborate across Distribution, Operations, Compliance, Risk and Product teams to support regulatory change, training and continous improvement.
Skills & Experience
Strong experience in the Irish pensions or wider financial services sector is essential, ideally within a technical, advisory, or proposition-focused role.
In-depth knowledge of Irish pensions products and legislation (e.g. PRSAs, Master Trusts, ARFs, IORP II), with the ability to interpret and respond to regulatory change.
Professionally qualified with QFA Qualification or experience in pension calculations and retirement claims is advantageous.
Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, practical guidance, with strong stakeholder management across cross-functional teams and broker networks.
Good understanding of the pension’s environment, with strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
