Pricing Manager – Risk Modelling
Pricing Manager – Risk Modelling
London, Norwich or Leeds - and we’re happy to consider flexible / hybrid working depending on your location.
Pricing performance is only as strong as the models behind it. At Aviva, we’re investing in modelling capability, data and tools to improve how we understand and price risk at scale.
This is a technically focused role where you’ll take ownership of using risk modelling techniques to identify and respond to AvE gaps, developing tools and proposals that directly influence pricing decisions across the business.
You’ll be joining a team that sits at the heart of pricing performance, where modelling isn’t just technical, it’s central to how we make commercial decisions and respond to change with speed and confidence.
A bit about the job
Our Risk Segment Modelling team sits at the core of Motor Retail Pricing, building the models and insight that underpin how we respond to changes in risk with agility and speed.
As a Pricing Manager, you’ll lead the development and enhancement of these tools and approaches, improving how we segment risk and make pricing decisions. This is a hands-on modelling role with real ownership, where you’ll shape approaches, strengthen model performance and ensure outputs are robust and commercially relevant.
You’ll work closely with Pricing, Data Science and wider stakeholders, combining technical depth with practical application. There’s also an opportunity to support others and strengthen modelling capability across the team.
What you’ll be doing
Leading the development and enhancement of risk predictions to improve pricing accuracy and segmentation.
Using tools such as Emblem, Radar and others to deliver robust, scalable modelling solutions.
Translating model outputs into clear insight to inform pricing decisions.
Working with stakeholders across Pricing, Data and the wider business to ensure models are effectively applied.
Improving modelling approaches, data usage and ways of working.
Supporting and mentoring others within the team.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
Strong experience in General Insurance pricing, with a focus on risk modelling.
Experience developing multivariate models (e.g. GLMs), using tools such as Emblem, Radar or similar.
Strong analytical capability, with experience using SQL, Python or similar.
Ability to translate technical output into clear, commercially relevant insight.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
A proactive, detail-focused approach with a strong interest in modelling and continuous improvement.
