Mid Market Underwriter - Salary is Competitive depending on experience

Are you someone who loves building strong relationships with brokers and customers to truly understand their needs?

We’re looking for a Property & Liability Underwriter to join our local team. You’ll help grow a profitable commercial book of business by partnering closely with brokers and delivering great outcomes for our customers.

A bit about the job:

• You’ll be responsible for day-to-day underwriting and managing your own book of business.

• Using data insights, you’ll help shape whole customer solutions.

• You’ll work end-to-end with brokers and customers, supporting the lead trading underwriter and underwriting leader.

• This role offers opportunities to progress towards underwriting licence levels.

• You’ll also contribute to team collaboration and performance targets.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Experience in Property & Liability underwriting (essential)

• Strong communication, listening, time management, and negotiation skills

• Ability to analyse risks and present effectively to brokers and customers

• CII qualifications or working towards . Good knowledge of the FCA rules and other relevant regulation and legislation

• Visibility and engagement in the local broker market
