A bit about the job:

This role leads the Recruitment Operations team, which is responsible for delivering efficient and effective recruitment support across Aviva in the UK, utilising our HR and recruitment system, Workday daily (We’re looking for someone with expert-level knowledge of Workday, as this role will be a subject matter expert.). You will oversee the operational delivery of recruitment services, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to continuously improve service delivery and support strategic recruitment initiatives. You will be the primary interface between Aviva and our key external recruitment suppliers, ensuring strong governance, performance management, and value delivery. You may also be required to help coordinate the ongoing assessment, selection and onboarding of suppliers aligned with the delivery of a high-quality recruitment service.

This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence and enabling the recruitment function to attract top talent to Aviva. It is also key to ensuring that all recruitment operations are conducted in alignment with Aviva's policies and procedures, with a strong focus on risk/ control management and supplier governance.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Prior experience managing a Recruitment Ops / Admin team within a large, complex and matrixed environment, working closely with RPO and MSP partners

  • Leadership capability is crucial—you’ll be responsible for a team of 5–6 in-house recruitment specialists, while also fostering effective governance and strategic relationships with external recruitment partners

  • Outstanding time and task management skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • In-depth knowledge of UK recruitment legislation and policy matched with expert Workday system knowledge

  • A proven ability to manage intricate processes and drive continuous improvement across recruitment operations
