We’re looking for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our Aviva Life & Pensions team. This role is ideal for someone with broad regulatory compliance experience, particularly around Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) conduct requirements, rather than an AML/KYC operational background. If you understand the practical application of the Consumer Protection Code (CPC) and enjoy partnering with teams to embed strong customer outcomes, you’ll thrive here. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we interpret and apply conduct rules across our business, helping us uphold responsible practices every day.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the compliance plan through conduct‑focused monitoring, thematic reviews, and advisory work aligned to CBI conduct standards and the CPC.
  • Provide clear, practical regulatory advice on CPC obligations, product governance, complaints handling, Fitness & Probity, corporate governance and customer outcomes.
  • Partner with operational teams, Product, Distribution, Risk and Internal Audit to identify, assess and mitigate conduct and compliance risks.
  • Track and escalate conduct‑related breaches; support regulatory and internal reporting including updates for the Risk Committee.
  • Promote a strong compliance culture by updating policies, interpreting regulatory changes, and supporting education and training across the business.

Skills & Experiences

  • Proven experience in a broad regulatory compliance role within insurance/ financial services, with strong understanding of the CPC, conduct of business rules, and CBI expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of Fitness & Probity, MCC, product governance and customer‑outcome frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret regulatory developments and provide clear, risk‑based advice.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and challenge effectively when needed.
  • Ability to monitor regulatory changes, interpret CBI thematic insights, and translate them into practical guidance for teams.

This is a Regulated Role and will be subject to enhanced pre-employment screening procedures. There will be an on-going requirement for the role holder to maintain fit and proper status
