Reinsurance Technician (Lloyd's Syndicate)

Salary: c£55,000 + Bonus

A bit about the job:

This role exists to support the smooth and accurate underwriting of reinsurance business, helping us deliver great outcomes for our customers and brokers. You’ll join the Reinsurance Operations team, working closely with underwriters, brokers and internal colleagues. The team focuses on processing, servicing and supporting reinsurance policies across their full lifecycle. You’ll be accountable for handling new business, renewals and adjustments accurately and on time. Your work helps protect profitability, service quality and regulatory compliance.

What you’ll be doing:

Underwrite and process reinsurance business within agreed authority and guidelines. Handle new business, renewals and mid‑term adjustments, making timely and accurate decisions. Respond to broker and internal queries using agreed processes and service standards. Escalate complex cases and work with experts to resolve issues. Build trusted relationships with brokers and account managers. Spot opportunities to improve processes and support change delivery.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Experience within reinsurance, underwriting support, or delegated authority environments.

• Strong attention to detail and confidence working with policy documentation.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

• Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.

• A willingness to learn, develop technical knowledge and contribute to team success.
