We’re looking for a qualified (or nearly qualified) actuary with strong Solvency II reporting experience to join our Life Actuarial Reporting team in Dublin. This role is focused on delivering high-quality actuarial reporting and insight, with a real emphasis on understanding and explaining results to senior stakeholders. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Actuarial, Finance and Aviva Group, playing a key role in ensuring our reporting is accurate, robust and timely. Alongside this, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing transformation of our reporting processes and systems. It’s a great role for someone who enjoys working close to the numbers while helping improve how things are done.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver key elements of actuarial reporting, including analysis of movements in Own Funds and Solvency Capital Requirement
  • Produce and interpret analysis of change, new business metrics, sensitivities, and stress and scenario testing
  • Support the delivery of robust, well-controlled reporting processes in line with Aviva’s financial management standards
  • Specify, test and implement updates to Prophet models, Data Lake and wider reporting systems
  • Contribute to experience analysis and assumption setting, including assessing impacts on Solvency II Best Estimate Liabilities

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified (or nearly qualified) actuary with hands-on experience in Solvency II reporting within a life insurance environment
  • Strong understanding of actuarial reporting outputs, with the ability to analyse and explain results clearly
  • Experience working with key reporting tools and models such as Prophet (or similar)
  • Good knowledge of life and pensions products, particularly unit-linked, with-profits and protection business
  • Confident communicator, with experience engaging and presenting to senior stakeholders
