Reporting Actuary
We’re looking for an energetic and motivated Reporting Actuary to join our Life Actuarial Reporting team in Dublin. This is a key role where you’ll support the delivery of all actuarial reporting requirements, including Solvency II (SII) calculations and analysis. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Financial Reporting, UK Actuarial Modelling, Finance, Aviva UK, and Aviva Group. As a senior member of the team, you’ll also play a vital part in driving a major transformation project – an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the future of our business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Produce and explain changes in Own Funds and Solvency Capital Requirement through Analysis of Change.
Calculate and analyse new business metrics, stress and scenario testing, sensitivities, and other key analyses.
Ensure robust processes and controls are in place to meet Aviva’s financial management standards and accelerate reporting timelines.
Specify and test changes to Prophet models, Data Lake, and IT developments for existing and new business.
Assist with experience analysis and assumption setting, including quantifying impacts on SII Best Estimate Liabilities.
Skills and Experience
Qualified or near-qualified Actuary with substantial experience.
Strong knowledge of Solvency II and/or IFRS17.
Proven ability to analyse and review actuarial reporting results.
Skilled in producing management-level reports and presenting to senior stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of life and pensions products, especially unit-linked, with-profit, and term insurance.
Up-to-date knowledge of actuarial principles and Prophet modelling.
