Risk Management Surveyor
We’re looking for a Risk Management Surveyor to join our Commercial Lines business and play a key role in delivering high quality risk insight and prevention for our customers and colleagues. This role will predominantly cover the West and North West of Ireland, supporting customers across the region while collaborating closely with our wider Commercial Lines teams.
You’ll take ownership of risk engineering activity across our Mid Market and Digital accounts, ensuring our solutions are consistent, practical and aligned to business needs. You’ll work closely with underwriters, brokers, clients and specialist partners to assess risk, shape prevention strategies and support informed, confident decision making.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality risk engineering advice and reports that support underwriters and drive strong commercial decisions.
- Act as a trusted referral point for underwriting teams, providing clarity on technical risk issues that could affect account performance.
- Support the delivery of the Mid‑Market risk strategy and contribute to the ARMS Development & Training Programme.
- Help develop and embed new and existing loss‑prevention standards across Commercial Lines.
- Lead and support service and process improvements using customer and colleague feedback.
- Share industry insights, support governance requirements and help build capability across the wider risk community.
Skills & Experience
- Broad experience across the risk management spectrum, with strong technical knowledge in your specialist areas.
- Proven ability to analyse complex information and highlight key issues clearly and confidently.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
- Extensive understanding of risk processes within a regulated environment.
- Excellent customer‑engagement and business‑development skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Experience coaching or developing colleagues, and good knowledge of supporting systems and product areas.
