Job Title: Senior AI Productivity Specialist - Claude Cowork

Location: London

Duration: 6 months

Inside IR35

About the role

Aviva is embedding AI tools into everyday working practices at scale. This role sits at the heart of that effort - not building the underlying technology, but making it genuinely useful for the people who depend on it.

As Senior AI Productivity Specialist, you will own the adoption and ongoing development of Claude Cowork across Aviva, acting as the primary enabler for colleagues and stakeholders who want to work more effectively with AI. You will design and maintain a library of reusable skills, coach stakeholders on how to get the most from the platform, and ensure that best practice spreads beyond the early adopters.

This is a practitioner role. You will spend most of your time in the tools, understanding where friction exists, building solutions to remove it, and translating what you learn into guidance others can follow.

What you'll do

Stakeholder enablement. Be the first point of contact for colleagues wanting to use Claude Cowork. Run workshops, one-to-ones, and drop-ins. Help stakeholders frame their problems well and identify where AI assistance genuinely adds value.

Skill development and maintenance. Build, test, and maintain the team's library of Cowork skills — reusable prompt-driven workflows that colleagues can install and run without technical support. Keep skills current as the platform evolves.

Best-practice governance. Own and evolve the Cowork operating model: folder conventions, CLAUDE.md standards, sensitivity label compliance, and prompt hygiene. Ensure colleagues understand what they can and cannot do with the platform (particularly around Aviva's data classification policy).

Workflow design. Work with stakeholders to identify repeatable tasks and design AI-assisted workflows for them — scheduled tasks, skill-based automations, and structured prompting patterns — reducing manual effort at scale.

Knowledge management. Maintain shared resources: the team skills library, glossary, templates, and persistent context files. Write clear documentation that a non-technical colleague can follow.

Adoption tracking and iteration. Gather feedback from users, identify where adoption is stalling, and iterate on enablement materials. Report on usage patterns and surface insights to the team.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Demonstrable hands-on experience using Claude Cowork (or equivalent enterprise AI assistant tools) in a business context - not just awareness, but daily practice.

  • Proven ability to design effective prompts and reusable AI workflows for non-technical users.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills: comfortable running workshops, coaching individuals, and translating technical concepts into plain language.

  • Understanding of enterprise data governance — in particular sensitivity labelling (Public / Internal / Confidential / Secret) and the practical implications for AI tool use.

  • Excellent written communication. Able to write skills, guides, and CLAUDE.md-style instructions that are precise, unambiguous, and maintainable.

  • Organised and self-directed: capable of managing a backlog of stakeholder requests, skill development work, and documentation without close supervision.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Graph-connected data (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) as surfaces for AI-assisted work.

  • Experience with prompt engineering patterns: system prompts, few-shot examples, chain-of-thought structuring.

  • Prior experience in a change management, digital enablement, or learning & development role.

  • Awareness of Aviva's business lines and operating model.

What success looks like in 6-months

  • A well-maintained, growing library of Cowork skills that colleagues across the organisation can install and use independently.

  • Measurable reduction in the time stakeholders spend on repeatable knowledge work tasks.

  • A clear, documented operating model for Cowork that new users can onboard from without hand-holding.

  • Positive stakeholder feedback on the quality and accessibility of enablement support.
