Senior Business Analyst

Location: York, Bristol and Norwich – Hybrid working with 50% office attendance

A bit about the job:

You’ll play a key role in helping us solve meaningful business problems through finance analysis activities – shaping what needs to change, why it matters and how we make it happen. Working with teams across Aviva, you’ll gather and translate requirements, explore solution options and support programmes that deliver better outcomes for our customers and colleagues.

You’ll guide stakeholders across Actuarial, Accounting and beyond with clarity and constructive challenge, bringing structure to complex change and ensuring our solutions align with strategy, standards and long‑term goals. From shaping business cases to supporting delivery, you’ll help turn opportunities into tangible outcomes — always keeping our people and customers at the heart of every decision.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong background in analysing, shaping and optimising business problems and processes within financial services or other regulated environments.
  • Skilled at engaging stakeholders at all levels, offering clarity, insight and constructive challenge.
  • Proven experience delivering change across projects or programmes; finance integration exposure is desirable.
  • Solid understanding of business analysis tools, methodologies and documentation standards.
  • Able to balance business needs, risks and impacts to recommend well‑rounded, practical solutions.

  • Starting salary c.£65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
