This is a great job for someone who is energised by understanding real business problems and shaping meaningful solutions.
Are you someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity, collaborating widely and turning insights into outcomes?
This role would suit someone with experience in business analysis or a similar change-focused role, whether you’re stepping up into larger programmes or bringing deep expertise from past projects. You might have worked with stakeholders across IT and business teams before or supported delivery in a change or transformation environment. What matters most is your ability to think critically, work collaboratively and help us deliver solutions that make a difference.
A bit about the job:
As a Senior Business Analyst at Aviva, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role in shaping how we understand business problems and deliver meaningful, high‑quality change across our organisation. You’ll be accountable for uncovering the true business problem or opportunity, defining clear and holistic requirements across people, process and technology, and guiding the design of solutions that deliver real value.
Our SBAs are expected to adapt their approach to match the needs of the project or programme, set the pace, uphold high standards, and ensure work is delivered with clarity and quality. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues from technology, operations and wider business teams — leading discovery activities, influencing decision‑making, and ensuring risks, impacts and benefits are well understood from the outset. Your leadership will help Aviva make confident, informed decisions and continuously improve how we operate.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience analysing complex business problems and defining clear, structured requirements across people, process and technology
- Ability to build strong, influential relationships with stakeholders — engaging, challenging and guiding decisions effectively
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with the ability to identify risks, challenges, dependencies and opportunities
- Depth of experience applying a range of business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies (in Agile/Waterfall methodologies; Customer Journey, Business Process and Data modelling methods; change management tools like JIRA/Confluence)
- Experience supporting, coaching or mentoring other Business Analysts, helping to uplift capability across wider project teams
