Senior Capital Technical Lead – Salary c. £80,000 to c. £110,000
This is a great job for someone who has strong technical expertise in Solvency II and enjoys working at the intersection of deep technical work, change delivery and stakeholder engagement. This role suits an experienced capital or actuarial professional who is comfortable providing senior oversight, supporting complex technical topics and helping teams navigate change in an evolving capital reporting environment.
A bit about the job:
We’re recruiting a Senior Capital Technical Lead to strengthen technical capability and delivery support within our Capital Reporting function. The role has been created in response to increasing complexity across capital reporting activities and ongoing change, requiring additional senior technical capacity. You’ll act as a senior technical specialist supporting Solvency II internal model topics, including SCR results, loss function fitting and engagement with Internal Model Validation and the Actuarial Function. You’ll also help integrate change initiatives into capital reporting processes, ensuring smooth transition into business as usual. Alongside this, you’ll review existing methodologies and processes to identify practical improvements to efficiency, clarity and end‑to‑end process flow.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Strong technical knowledge of Solvency II, particularly internal model frameworks, with strong practical experience in life insurance
Experience working with SCR processes, including loss function fitting and model outputs
Confidence handling complex technical topics and supporting colleagues through them
Experience working alongside change or transformation initiatives in a capital environment
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate clearly

Starting salary between c. £80,000 and c. £110,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
