Senior Category Manager

This is a great job for someone who has a strong background in procurement or commercial management and is ready to take the lead on high-impact supplier relationships. You might be an experienced category manager looking for your next challenge, or someone with deep knowledge of Outsourcing who’s excited to shape strategy and drive value.

A bit about the job:

You’ll lead the commercial management of key suppliers in the Outsourcing category. Your work will help us deliver value, manage risk, and support Aviva’s strategy. You’ll collaborate with teams across the business to shape sourcing strategies and manage supplier performance. You’ll also lead outsourcing projects and be accountable for delivering commercial outcomes. This is a high-impact role with real scope to influence how we work.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Commercial and stakeholder management skills and proven track record of building strong internal and external business relationships
  • Experience and a proven track record of delivering Commercial, SRM, or Category Management within a demanding, fast evolving environment
  • Leading and managing sourcing processes, developing and negotiating agreements – preferably material Outsourcing 
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent preferable
  • CIPS qualification desirable

  • Starting salary circa £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
