Are you an experienced Motor insurance underwriter looking to take your career to the next level? Do you enjoy building meaningful relationships with brokers and customers while using data to make smart, strategic decisions? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As part of our dynamic GCS Motor team, based in London and Manchester, you’ll play a key role in underwriting new and renewal business, helping us deliver on our financial goals. You’ll assess and select risks, price policies, and agree coverage terms — all while crafting bespoke solutions for our corporate clients, typically UK-based businesses with turnovers exceeding £250 million.

This is a collaborative role where you’ll work closely with Claims, Client Relationship Management, Distribution, and Risk Management teams to deliver tailored propositions that truly meet our customers’ needs.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who brings a mix of technical expertise and relationship-building skills:

• Proven experience underwriting Motor insurance for mid-market or corporate clients

• Confidence in broker-facing environments, with a customer-first mindset

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel to identify trends and support decision-making

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A proactive, self-motivated approach to work
