A bit about the job
This role exists to help Retail Speciality deliver better outcomes for customers and the business — supporting Aviva’s ambition to be the number one retail insurer.
You’ll own and shape change initiatives end‑to‑end, working closely with trading, delivery and specialist teams to turn opportunities into action. From shaping backlogs to tracking benefits, you’ll ensure the right work is delivered at the right time — with real impact across the policy lifecycle.
You’ll also play a key part in improving how we understand performance, owning reporting and MI across Retail Speciality.
Key accountabilities
Lead the scoping, shaping and delivery of change initiatives across Retail Speciality
Own and prioritise the product backlog, working closely with trading and delivery teams to maintain strong backlog health and delivery cadence
Build clear, evidence‑based benefits cases and secure agreement across the end‑to‑end value chain
Improve customer journeys across the full policy lifecycle — removing friction, improving experiences and driving commercial outcomes
Own Reporting and MI support for the Retail Speciality team
Skills and experience we’re looking for
Strong knowledge of the UK General Insurance market, including the dynamics of the PCW landscape
Experience managing product roadmaps and delivering initiatives that improve both customer and commercial outcomes
Ability to translate business ideas into clear product solutions, delivery plans and progress updates
Confident working collaboratively across multiple teams and disciplines with clear, engaging communication &presentation skills
A background or qualification supporting a strong understanding of insurance products, policy lifecycle and value delivery is desirable

Salary: Circa £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
