Senior Programme Manager
Senior Programme Manager – Salary: London – circa £80,000 / Perth – circa £70,000
This is a great job for a change management expert, skilled in managing multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless management and delivery of all Aviva staff pensions projects as part of the team supporting the Trustee of the pension schemes.
The position holder will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance on project management methodologies and practices, whilst managing complex and high-impact projects.
A bit about the job:
Supporting the Head of Programme Management, you will be involved in running a significant number of projects being delivered over the next 10 years. You will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex, multi-year pensions projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while managing interdependencies.
The successful individual will develop, maintain and evaluate project plans, deliverables and outcomes using appropriate systems, tools and techniques, whilst contributing to the development and enhancement of project management capabilities within the team. The role-holder will support risk management to identify project risks, areas for improvement and implement solutions to address these issues.
You will also be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including actuarial, legal, investment and covenant advisers, pension administrators, other service providers, regulators, and professional bodies, including providing MI to key stakeholders to enable oversight.
This position will also be responsible for monitoring the progress of the pensions programmes, making recommendations for day-to-day operational actions to the Leadership team, ensuring the smooth execution of the pensions programmes and addressing any issues that arise.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Substantial experience managing complex change and large programmes within large, corporate environments, with expert knowledge of change frameworks.
- Prior use of Microsoft Project is essential.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Skilled in risk management, project tracking and change control.
- Effective coordination of people, tasks and resources to deliver projects on time, within scope and on budget.

- Starting salary circa £70,000 (Perth) / circa £80,000 (London) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
