Job Title:  Senior Project Manager - Investment Management

Location:  York, London, Bristol

Duration: 6 months

This is a contract position for an experienced Project Manager to lead the initial six-month mobilisation phase of a regulatory climate financial risk project.


Key Responsibilities 

You will be responsible for developing a detailed implementation plan, including resource requirements, project structure, governance arrangements, and the overall project delivery approach. The role will involve coordinating cross-functional working groups, facilitating stakeholder workshops, providing updates to the Steering Group, and managing the successful initiation of project delivery.

You will build and maintain project plans, manage scope, budget, resources, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies), while ensuring robust governance and controls are in place. Working closely with stakeholders, you will provide clear and timely reporting, proactively manage risks and issues, and drive collaboration to ensure successful delivery of agreed outcomes.


Skills and experience we’re looking for:


Essential:

  • Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 / APM / PMI) or equivalent experience (Essential)

  • Proven experience managing actuarial / investment projects in areas such as Solvency II, capital modelling, and stress testing

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including producing clear status reporting, holding honest conversations about performance, and facilitating decision-making

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver outcomes, managing dependencies and change impacts

  • Experience delivering change projects within the Financial Services industry, ideally within a finance environment or equivalent regulated environment



 Desirable:

  • Understanding of investment/asset management practises

  • Working knowledge of Agile and/or hybrid delivery approaches, with experience applying fit-for-purpose controls and reporting across the whole delivery lifecycle, adapting to the needs of the change where required.
