Senior Project Manager
This role sits within Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland (ALPI), supporting the delivery of key strategic and governance initiatives across the business. You’ll work closely with the Director of Strategy & Governance and the Head of Legal, helping to ensure complex projects are delivered effectively and to a high standard. The role focuses on coordinating cross‑functional work, supporting governance processes, and ensuring stakeholders are aligned. You’ll play an important part in shaping how strategic programmes are planned and delivered. It’s a highly visible role with strong exposure to senior leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and support the delivery of strategic and regulatory projects, ensuring clear plans, timelines and outcomes
- Prepare and coordinate governance materials, including Board and Committee packs, agendas, and action tracking
- Manage cross‑functional dependencies across teams such as Legal, Risk, Compliance and Finance
- Track risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring they are clearly managed and escalated where needed
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to maintain alignment, resolve challenges and keep projects moving forward
Skills & Experience
- Substantial experience in project delivery within financial services / legal / regulated environment is essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- Experience preparing governance documents such as reports, presentations or committee materials
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse information and support decision-making
