A bit about the job:

As a Technical DBT SME in our Finance Technology Platform, you’ll play a key role in delivering change and BAU technology solutions that support Finance, Risk, Legal, HR, and more. You’ll be responsible for implementing best practices in DBT and Snowflake, leading technical delivery, and supporting our Finance Transformation agenda. This role is central to modernising our data estate and enabling business teams to access the data they need for regulatory reporting and strategic decision-making.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Experience in cloud technologies in AWS: RDS, EMRs, Serverless like GLUE, S3 (Encourage any cloud experience like Azure Data Factory or GCP), and can demonstrate skills and expertise in DBT & Snowflake with deliveries done in the past.
• Have previously led a team & worked in Technology enablement function and previously worked within financial services sector (preferred, not essential)
• Be able to demonstrate experience in languages like Python and understanding on distributed frameworks like Apache Spark & Snowpark on Snowflake, with skills to pick and choose between different tools like DBT, Snowflake, Glue for a particular use case.
• Preferably work experience in Lake house implementation with cloud warehouses like Redshift, Snowflake et, is preferred, with Strong grip on platforms like Snowflake
• Like to explore new technologies and on the lookout to find opportunities to modernize and help grow team, to enable accelerated development via automation and use Gen AI like Snowflake Cortex and GITHUB Copilot

• Starting salary circa £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
